Riyadh flight cancelled
Following the cancellation of last Wednesday’s flight from London Heathrow to Riyadh in Saudi Arabia, British Airways has cancelled tomorrow’s (Saturday’s)
flight to Riyadh.
The UK government advised the airline not to operate the flight for security reasons.
The decision to operate next Monday’s (January 5, 2004) flight to Riyadh will be kept under review throughout the weekend.
A government team, led by the Department for Transport, is working closely with the Saudi authorities.
Flight BA263 was due to depart Heathrow tomorrow, Saturday January 3, 2004 at 1335 local time arriving in Riyadh at 2255 local time.
We apologise to our customers booked to travel on flight BA263 for the inconvenience caused.
As a consequence of the flight cancellation, the return flight BA262 on Sunday will also be cancelled (due to depart Riyadh at 0200, arriving at 0620 on Monday morning at Heathrow).
Other flights across the British Airways network are expected to operate as normal tomorrow.
